In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Bosnian Krajina (Kotor Varos area) and in Bosanian Posavina (Bosanska Gradiska area). In Stari Martinac in Bosnian Krajina every seventh inhabitant had the family name Džomba.
Prevalence
About 70 people with faimily name Džomba live in Croatia today, in 20 households. They are located in 8 Croatian counties, in 7 cities and 11 other places, mostly in Gunja in Zupanja area (15), Rijeka (<10), Pozega (<10), Umag (<10), and in Sunja in Hrvatska Kostajnica area (<5).
