Džinić families are often Croats and they are mostly from Tuzla Region (Bosnia), less frequently Bosniaks (from Bosnian Posavina ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Tuzla Region, Bosnia (Tuzla area) and in Bosanian Posavina (Gradacac area).
Prevalence
About 310 people with faimily name Džinić live in Croatia today, in 130 households. There were 50 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number multiplied. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 27 cities and 46 other places, mostly in Zagreb (60), Rijeka (35), Vinkovci (35), Zupanja (35), and in Pula (20).
