Džidić families are Croats and they are mostly from Podrinje (Bosnia). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Herzegovina (Mostar area) and in Podrinje, Bosnia (Kalinovik area). In Vihovići in Podrinje (Bosnia) every sixth inhabitant had the family name Džidić.
Prevalence
About 100 people with faimily name Džidić live in Croatia today, in 50 households. There were 10 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number multiplied. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 21 cities and 10 other places, mostly in Zagreb (35), Metkovic (<10), Split (<10), Makarska (<10), and in Obrovac (<10).
