Džepina families are predominantly Croats and they are mostly from Knin area , less frequently Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Middle Bosnia (Travnik area) and in Knin. In Ričice in Middle Bosnia every ninth inhabitant had the family name Džepina.
Prevalence
About 320 people with faimily name Džepina live in Croatia today, in 150 households. There were 220 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 50 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 24 cities and 30 other places, mostly in Zagreb (90), Golubic (55), Zadar (25), Sibenik (20), and in Oklaj in Knin area (20).
