About 40 people with faimily name Durman live in Croatia today, in 20 households. There were 150 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased significantly. They are located and 7 other Croatian places, mostly in Gornji Javoranj in Hrvatska Kostajnica area (10), Sisak (<10), Paukovac in Hrvatska Kostajnica area (<10), Zagreb (<5), and in Okucani in Nova Gradiska area (<5).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over five times, the first time 1902 in source Hartmann's General List of Apartments in Zagreb.
