In Croatia, Durić families are mainly Croats (from Cazins Region (Bosnia) ), rarely Bosniaks (from Podrinje (Bosnia) ), and very rarely Roms (from Bjelovar ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Cazins Region, Bosnia (Cazin area) and in Cazins Region, Bosnia (Bosanska Krupa area). In Beganovi in Middle Bosnia nearly every inhabitant had the family name Durić.
Prevalence
About 70 people with faimily name Durić live in Croatia today, in 30 households. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 14 cities and 10 other places, mostly in Zagreb (25), Rijeka (<5), Sisak (<5), Bjelovar (<5), and in Dubrovnik (<5).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over twenty times, the first time 1928 in source Emigration Commission Zagreb.
