Dubroja families are predominantly Serbs and they are mostly from Benkovac , less frequently Croats (from Zadar). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Benkovac and Zadar. In Donji Karin in Benkovac every fourth inhabitant had the family name Dubroja.
Prevalence
About 130 people with faimily name Dubroja live in Croatia today, in 60 households. There were 160 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 20 percent. They are located in 10 Croatian counties, in 10 cities and 12 other places, mostly in Donji Karin (50), Zadar (10), Pula (10), Zagreb (<10), and in Polaca in Benkovac area (<10).
