Dropulić families are Croats and they are mostly from Ploce area (Stasevica). According to some sources they are from Vrgorac area (Veliki Prolog). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Vrgorac and Ploce. In Staševica in Ploce every eighth inhabitant had the family name Dropulić.
Prevalence
About 460 people with faimily name Dropulić live in Croatia today, in 170 households. There were 260 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 80 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 22 cities and 23 other places, mostly in Stasevica (80), Zagreb (65), Ploce (50), Podprolog (50), and in Opuzen (35).
