Dozet families are mainly Serbs and they are mostly from Obrovac area , whereas often Croats (from Nasice and i Osijek). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Obrovac area and in Garesnica. In Pećane in Obrovac area every fifth inhabitant had the family name Dozet.
Prevalence
About 80 people with faimily name Dozet live in Croatia today, in 50 households. There were 180 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased significantly. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 13 cities and 8 other places, mostly in Zagreb (25), Nasice (10), Osijek (<10), Varazdin (<10), and in Nova Gradiska (<10).
