Domjančić families are Croats and they are mostly from Jastrebarsko. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Jastrebarsko and Karlovac. In Čeglje in Jastrebarsko every third inhabitant had the family name Domjančić.
Prevalence
About 160 people with faimily name Domjančić live in Croatia today, in 60 households. There were 270 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 40 percent. They are located in 6 Croatian counties, in 6 cities and 7 other places, mostly in Ceglje (110), Draganic in Karlovac area (25), Zagreb (10), Petrovina (<10), and in Domagovic (<5).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over five times, the first time 1902 in source Hartmann's General List of Apartments in Zagreb.
