Dlaka families are Croats and they are mostly from Trogir area. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Split and in Trogir area. In Labin in Trogir area every tenth inhabitant had the family name Dlaka.
Prevalence
About 150 people with faimily name Dlaka live in Croatia today, in 70 households. There were 140 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 10 percent. They are located in 10 Croatian counties, in 14 cities and 11 other places, mostly in Split (65), Mali Losinj on the Island of Losinj (10), Zagreb (<10), Podluzan in Vrbovec area (<10), and in Koprivnicki Bregi in Koprivnica area (<10).

Family name Dlaka is present in 6 countries on two continents. The family name "Dlaka " is used by small number of people in the United States.
