In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Middle Bosnia (Vares area) and in Bosanian Posavina (Bosanska Gradiska area). In Borovica Gornja in Middle Bosnia every ninth inhabitant had the family name Djaković.
