Divić families are usually Croats and they are mostly from Makarska area , rarely Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Imotsko and in Djakovo area. In Glavina Donja in Imotsko every ninth inhabitant had the family name Divić.
Prevalence
About 660 people with faimily name Divić live in Croatia today, in 270 households. There were 570 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 20 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 30 cities and 38 other places, mostly in Glavina Donja (160), Zagreb (60), Split (55), Beravci in Djakovo area (55), and in Imotski (45).

Family name Divić (including: Divic , Divich ) is present in 17 countries worldwide. "Divich " is used by some 60 people in the United States and small number in Australia.
