Delibašić families can be both Croats (the family name originates from Zagreb ) and Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Nova Gradiska area and in Nova Gradiska. In Čaprginci in Nova Gradiska area every sixth inhabitant had the family name Delibašić.
Prevalence
About 80 people with faimily name Delibašić live in Croatia today, in 50 households. There were 140 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 40 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 16 cities and 14 other places, mostly in Zagreb (30), Osijek (<10), Vrbovljani in Nova Gradiska area (<10), Blato on the Island of Korcula (<5), and in Ernestinovo in Osijek area (<5).
Outside Croatia
At least four families with this surname emigrated from Croatia to: Australia (2), the United States (1), and to Canada (1). Family name Delibašić (including: Delibasic , Delibasich ) is present in 18 countries on four continents.
