Davidović families are mainly Croats and they are mostly from middle Bosnia , often Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Banja Luka Region, Bosnia (Banja Luka area) and in Middle Bosnia (Skender Vakuf area). In Davidovići in Middle Bosnia every second inhabitant had the family name Davidović.
Prevalence
About 890 people with faimily name Davidović live in Croatia today, in 370 households. There were 420 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number doubled. They are located in almost all Croatian counties, in 60 cities and 115 other places, mostly in Zagreb (155), Selci Djakovacki (90), Rijeka (30), Djakovo (30), and in Split (30).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over twenty times, the first time 1749 in source 18th Century Census.
