Cvetić families are often Croats and they are mostly from Klanjec area , less frequently Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and Vukovar. In Gornje Ravno in Middle Bosnia every third inhabitant had the family name Cvetić.
Prevalence
About 130 people with faimily name Cvetić live in Croatia today, in 50 households. There were 220 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 40 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 16 cities and 19 other places, mostly in Volavje (30), Zagreb (15), Sibenik (<10), Vukovar (<10), and in Hvar on the Island of Hvar (<10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over five times, the first time 1902 in source Hartmann's General List of Apartments in Zagreb.
