About 80 people with faimily name Ciler live in Croatia today, in 30 households. There were 50 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 70 percent. They are located and 9 other Croatian places, mostly in Sveti Petar (<10) and Mali Bukovec (<10) in Ludbreg area, Zagreb (<10), Koprivnica (<10), and in Gorica in Koprivnica area (<10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over five times, the first time 1902 in source Hartmann's General List of Apartments in Zagreb.
