In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Tuzla Region, Bosnia (Lopare area) and in Valpovo area. In Čelić in Tuzla Region (Bosnia) every sixth inhabitant had the family name Cifrić.
Prevalence
About 30 people with faimily name Cifrić live in Croatia today, in 13 households. There were 30 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number remains constant. They are located and 5 other Croatian places, mostly in Strmac in Labin area (10), Zagreb (<10), Petrijevci in Valpovo area (<5), Osijek (<5), and in Josipovac (<5).
Outside Croatia
Family name Cifrić is present in five countries on two continents. The family name "Cifric " is used by small number of people in the United States.
