Cetina families are usually Croats and they are mostly from Pula area , rarely Serbs. The surname comes from Bosanska Posavina and probably has its roots in Dalmatinska Zagora. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Pula and Rijeka. In Divšići in Pula area every third inhabitant had the family name Cetina.
Prevalence
About 580 people with faimily name Cetina live in Croatia today, in 230 households. There were 480 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 20 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 29 cities and 48 other places, mostly in Pula (110), Vodnjan in Pula area (55), Zagreb (50), Sesvete (35), and in Rijeka (35).
