Celija families are Croats and they are mostly from Pula. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Pula and in Labin area. In Kožljani in Labin area every ninth inhabitant had the family name Celija.
Prevalence
About 100 people with faimily name Celija live in Croatia today, in 40 households. There were 80 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 20 percent. They are only located in two Croatian cities and 8 other places, mostly in Pula (60), Divsici in Pula area (10), Rebici in Labin area (<10), Vodnjan in Pula area (<10), and in Kozljani in Labin area (<10).
