Celić families are Croats and they are mostly from Sibenik. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Sibenik and Zagreb. In Slivno in Sibenik every ninth inhabitant had the family name Celić.
Prevalence
About 410 people with faimily name Celić live in Croatia today, in 170 households. There were 410 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number remains constant. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 25 cities and 38 other places, mostly in Sibenik (60), Zagreb (30), Donja Reka (25), Pula (25), and in Umag (20).
