Buršić families are usually Croats and they are mostly from Labin area , rarely Italians (from Umag ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Pula and in Labin area. In Čabrunići in Labin area every second inhabitant had the family name Buršić.
Prevalence
About 640 people with faimily name Buršić live in Croatia today, in 260 households. There were 620 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number remains constant. They are located in 8 Croatian counties, in 16 cities and 59 other places, mostly in Pula (200), Rovinj (40), Krnica in Pula area (35), Cabrunici in Labin area (35), and in Vodnjan in Pula area (20).
