In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in East Herzegovina (Trebinje area) and in Dubrovnik. In Cicrina in East Herzegovina every fifth inhabitant had the family name Brać.
Prevalence
About 60 people with faimily name Brać live in Croatia today, in 20 households. There were 10 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number multiplied. They are located in 9 Croatian counties, in 11 cities and 10 other places, mostly in Dubrovnik (<10), Vukovar (<10), Zagreb (<10), Mlini in Dubrovnik area (<10), and in Osijek (<5).
