Brajdić families are Croats and they are mostly from Vrbovsko area. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Slunj area and in Karlovac. In places Brajdić Selo and Podcetin in Slunj area every fourth inhabitant had the family name Brajdić.
Prevalence
About 610 people with faimily name Brajdić live in Croatia today, in 260 households. There were 560 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 10 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 40 cities and 66 other places, mostly in Zagreb (95), Karlovac (45), Rijeka (40), Brajdic Selo in Slunj area (35), and in Bjelovar (25).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over twenty times, the first time 1906 in source Yearbook and Directory of Literary Society of St. Jerome 1906.
