Bradarić families are usually Croats and they are mostly from Bosnian Krajina , rarely Bosniaks (from Bosnian Posavina ) and Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Bosnian Krajina (Teslic area) and in Sinj area. In Bardaci in Bosnian Krajina every third inhabitant had the family name Bradarić.
Prevalence
About 800 people with faimily name Bradarić live in Croatia today, in 300 households. There were 360 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number doubled. They are located in almost all Croatian counties, in 46 cities and 76 other places, mostly in Split (115), Zagreb (65), Rijeka (35), Osijek (35), and in Dugi Rat in Omis area (30).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over five times, the first time 1742 in source Catholic Church Parish Records.
