Blašković families are almost entirely Croats and they are mostly from Labin area. According to some sources they are from Mihovljan in Hrvatsko Zagorje Region, very rarely Serbs and Italians (from Pula ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Ogulin and Pula. In Kršikla in Pazin every third inhabitant had the family name Blašković.
Prevalence
About 1300 people with faimily name Blašković live in Croatia today, in 550 households. There were 1300 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number remains constant. They are located in all Croatian counties, in 69 cities and 127 other places, mostly in Ogulin (200), Zagreb (125), Pula (110), Rijeka (60), and in Labin (55).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over fifty times, the first time 1614 in source Catholic Church Parish Records.
