Bešlagić families are mainly Croats and they are mostly from Tuzla Region (Bosnia), often Bosniaks (from Bosnian Krajina ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Bosnian Krajina (Prijedor area) and in Tuzla Region, Bosnia (Tuzla area).
Prevalence
About 60 people with faimily name Bešlagić live in Croatia today, in 30 households. There were 10 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number multiplied. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 12 cities and 8 other places, mostly in Zagreb (40), Nerezine on the Island of Losinj (<10), Rijeka (<10), Nova Ljeskovica in Pleternica area (<10), and in Vinkovci (<5).

Family name Bešlagić (including: Beslagic , Beshlagich ) is present in 18 countries on three continents. The family name "Beslagic " is used by some 200 people in the United States , about 70 in Sweden , and small number of people in Australia.
