About 90 people with faimily name Beara live in Croatia today, in 40 households. There were 120 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 20 percent. They are located in 7 Croatian counties, in 11 cities and 8 other places, mostly in Split (40), Kastel Luksic (15), Zagreb (10), Lecevica in Kastela area (<10), and in Samobor (<5).
