Badovinac families are often Croats and they are mostly from Ozalj , less frequently Serbs, also from Ozlja. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Ozalj and Zagreb. In places Badovinci , Kamenci and Radatovići in Ozalj every second inhabitant had the family name Badovinac.
Prevalence
About 240 people with faimily name Badovinac live in Croatia today, in 130 households. There were 370 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 40 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 20 cities and 26 other places, mostly in Zagreb (110), Karlovac (30), Split (15), Rijeka (15), and in Ilok (<10).
