Badanjak families are Croats and they are mostly from Kutina. According to some sources they are from Lika and Kordun. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Kutina and Ogulin. In Kutinska Slatina in Kutina every eighth inhabitant had the family name Badanjak.
Prevalence
About 370 people with faimily name Badanjak live in Croatia today, in 180 households. There were 280 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 30 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 28 cities and 45 other places, mostly in Zagreb (95), Kutina (45), Ostarije in Ogulin area (20), Ogulin (15), and in Karlovac (15).
