Babac families are mainly Croats and they are mostly from Nin , often Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Nin and Zadar.
Prevalence
About 160 people with faimily name Babac live in Croatia today, in 80 households. There were 140 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 10 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 13 cities and 16 other places, mostly in Poljica (45), Vodice (25), Zagreb (15), Zadar (10), and in Tribanj on the Island of Pasman (10).
