In Croatia, Ađić families are Croats (from Novi Marof area ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Osijek and Zagreb.
Prevalence
About 10 people with faimily name Ađić live in Croatia today, in five households only. There were 70 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased significantly. They are located and another small Croatian place , mostly in Valpovo (<10), Belisce (<5), Gornji Kraljevec in Novi Marof area (<5), Sesvete (<5), and in Kutina (<5).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over ten times, the first time 1906 in source Yearbook and Directory of Literary Society of St. Jerome 1906.
