Aralica families are usually Croats and they are mostly from Knin area. According to some sources from the Island of Zlarin and from Puljane near Knin. There is a hypothesis they immigrated from the Aral Sea in Russia, and very rarely Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Knin area and in Zagreb. In Puljane in Knin area every sixth inhabitant had the family name Aralica.

About 260 people with faimily name Aralica live in Croatia today, in 110 households. There were 240 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 0 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 21 cities and 18 other places, mostly in Zagreb (125), Split (25), Zadar (25), Sibenik (10), and in Struzani in Slavonski Brod area (10).
