Antonac families are mainly Croats and they are mostly from Buzet area , but often Italians (from Buje area ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Slovenia and in Buzet area. In Livade in Buzet area every fourth inhabitant had the family name Antonac.
