Aleksa families are Croats and they are mostly from Varazdinske Toplice area. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and Sibenik. In Kamešnica in Varazdinske Toplice area every twentieth inhabitant had the family name Aleksa.
Prevalence
About 130 people with faimily name Aleksa live in Croatia today, in 50 households. There were 170 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 30 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 16 cities and 15 other places, mostly in Sibenik (25), Zagreb (20), Djakovo (10), Ferdinandovac in Djurdjevac area (10), and in Rijeka (<10).
