Tvrđavica is located in the City of Osijek, in Osijek-Baranja County at an elevation of 87 meters above sea level and it covers the area of 4.96 km² (1.92 sq. miles). According to the 2011 census report, there were 570 inhabitants. It is largely populated by Croats (86%), but also Serbs (8%). Nearby places: Podravlje, Osijek, Višnjevac, Darda, Brijest, Bilje, Mece, Briješće, Livana and Josipovac.
