Štirkovac is located in the municipality Barilovići, in Karlovac County at an elevation of 200 meters above sea level and it covers the area of 3.32 km² (1.28 sq. miles). According to the 2011 census report, there were only five inhabitants left. It is entirely populated by Serbs. Nearby places: Velika Crkvina, Koranska Strana, Koransko Selo, Ponorac, Orijevac, Dvorište, Donja Perjasica, Gornji Skrad, Čatrnja and Zinajevac.
