Novo Kusonje is located in the municipality Voćin, in Virovitica-Podravina County at an elevation of 130 meters above sea level and it covers the area of 2.99 km² (1.15 sq. miles). According to the 2011 census report, there were 22 inhabitants. It is mostly populated by Serbs (54%), but also Croats (46%).
