Škreblin families are Croats and they are mostly from Oroslavje area. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and in Zabok area. In Kozjak Začretski in Zabok area every fourth inhabitant had the family name Škreblin.

About 510 people with faimily name Škreblin live in Croatia today, in 210 households. There were 600 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 20 percent. They are located in 10 Croatian counties, in 22 cities and 58 other places, mostly in Zagreb (145), Gornja Bistra in Oroslavje area (65), Kutina (25), Donja Bistra in Oroslavje area (25), and in Sveti Kriz Zacretje in Zabok area (10).
