Surname Đumić in modern Croatia

Đumić families are mainly Croats and they are mostly from Vukovar , often Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Vukovar and Osijek. In Tiškovac Lički in Knin area every third inhabitant had the family name Đumić.

Prevalence

About 100 people with faimily name Đumić live in Croatia today, in 50 households. There were 80 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 30 percent.
They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 17 cities and 13 other places, mostly in Zagreb (20), Osijek (<10), Sesvete (<10), Djakovo (<10), and in Varazdin (<10).

"Dumic " is used by small number of people in the United States and small number in Australia. "Dumich " is used by some 900 people in Ukraine , about 60 in the United States , and some 60 people in Russian Federation. "Dumicz " is used by some 200 people in Poland and small number in the United States.
