Surname Đorđić in modern Croatia

In Croatia, Đorđić families are mainly Serbs, less frequently Croats (from Metkovic ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Beli Manastir area and in Vinkovci. In Caparde in Tuzla Region (Bosnia) every fifth inhabitant had the family name Đorđić.

Prevalence

About 60 people with faimily name Đorđić live in Croatia today, in 30 households. There were 20 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number tripled.
They are located in 9 Croatian counties, in 11 cities and 17 other places, mostly in Vukovar (<10), Metkovic (<10), Rijeka (<10), Jarmina in Vinkovci area (<10), and in Knezevo in Beli Manastir area (<5).

Family name Đorđić (including: Djordjic , Dordic , Dordick , Dordich and Djordic ) is present in 22 countries worldwide. The family name "Djordjic " is used by some 80 people in the United States , about 60 in Switzerland , and small number of people in Australia. "Dordic " is used by small number of people in the United States and small number in Australia. "Dordich " is used by few people in Belarus and few people in the United States.
