Čehulić families are Croats and they are mostly from Zlatar area. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and in Lepoglava area. In Veliki Komor in Zlatar area every sixth inhabitant had the family name Čehulić.
Prevalence
About 480 people with faimily name Čehulić live in Croatia today, in 180 households. There were 430 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 10 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 23 cities and 45 other places, mostly in Zagreb (130), in Grabe (60) and Bedekovcina (40) in Lepoglava area, Veliki Komor in Zlatar area (35), and in Bedenica in Sveti Ivan Zelina area (30).
Outside Croatia
At least one family with this surname emigrated from Croatia to the United States. Family name Čehulić is present in three countries on two continents.
