Vuleta families are usually Croats and they are mostly from middle Bosnia , rarely Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Middle Bosnia (Busovaca area) and in Vinkovci area. In places Granice and Skradno in Middle Bosnia every fifth inhabitant had the family name Vuleta.
Prevalence
About 500 people with faimily name Vuleta live in Croatia today, in 240 households. There were 210 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number more than doubled. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 32 cities and 42 other places, mostly in Otok in Sinj area (95), Zagreb (55), Gornja Vrba in Slavonski Brod area (50), Zadar (30), and in Split (30).
Outside Croatia
At least 13 families with this surname emigrated from Croatia to: Germany (6), Australia (2), Austria (2), the United States (2), and to Switzerland (1). Family name Vuleta is present in 20 countries worldwide.
