Vučićević families are mainly Croats and they are mostly from east Herzegovina , often Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in East Herzegovina (Trebinje area) and in Bosanian Posavina (Odzak area). In Jošavica in Bosanian Posavina every fifth inhabitant had the family name Vučićević.
Prevalence
About 120 people with faimily name Vučićević live in Croatia today, in 50 households. There were 50 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number more than doubled. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 17 cities and 17 other places, mostly in Zagreb (20), Dubrovnik (20), Mokosica (10), and in Mlini (10) and Cibaca (<10) in Dubrovnik area.
Outside Croatia
Family name Vučićević is present in 19 countries worldwide. The family name "Vucicevic " is used by some 100 people in the United States , about 90 in Libya , and some 60 people in Germany.
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned few times, the first time 1923 in source Emigration Commission Zagreb.
