Vrsalović families are Croats and they are mostly from the Island of Brac. According to some sources they are from Bosnia. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Split and on the Island of Brac.
Prevalence
About 250 people with faimily name Vrsalović live in Croatia today, in 120 households. There were 270 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 10 percent. They are only located in in 11 Croatian cities and 11 other places, mostly in Split (60), in Povlja (50) and Gornji Humac (35) on the Island of Brac, Zagreb (35), and in Rijeka (25).
Outside Croatia
At least six families with this surname emigrated from Croatia to: the United States (4), Chile (1), and to Germany (1). Family name Vrsalović (including: Vrsalovic , Versalovic ) is present in 15 countries on four continents. The family name "Vrsalovic " is used by some 700 people in Chile , about 80 in Bolivia , and some 70 people in the United States.
