Vrgoč families are Croats and they are mostly from Sinj area (Strizirepi, Tijarica, Vrgocevici). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Split and in Sinj area. In Strizirep in Sinj area every fifth inhabitant had the family name Vrgoč.
Prevalence
About 550 people with faimily name Vrgoč live in Croatia today, in 210 households. There were 280 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number doubled. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 31 cities and 36 other places, mostly in Split (195), Zagreb (70), Solin (60), Brnaze (30), and in Sinj (15).
