Vračarić families are mainly Serbs and they are mostly from Vukovar area , whereas often Croats (from Nasice area ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Vukovar and in Virovitica area.
Prevalence
About 100 people with faimily name Vračarić live in Croatia today, in 50 households. There were 150 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 30 percent. They are located in 9 Croatian counties, in 11 cities and 10 other places, mostly in Trpinja in Vukovar area (20), Zagreb (15), Pcelic in Virovitica area (10), Vukovar (10), and in Podgorac in Nasice area (10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned few times, the first time 1906 in source Yearbook and Directory of Literary Society of St. Jerome 1906.
