Vicić families are Croats and they are mostly from middle Bosnia. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Janjevo, Kosovo and in Middle Bosnia (Fojnica area). In Mujakovići in Middle Bosnia every third inhabitant had the family name Vicić.

They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 29 cities and 29 other places, mostly in Valpovo (45), Komletinci in Vinkovci area (35), Veliki Bastaji in Daruvar area (30), Klokocevac (25), and in Rijeka (25).

Outside Croatia

At least seven families with this surname emigrated from Croatia to: Sweden (2), the United States (2), Germany (1), Canada (1), and to Switzerland (1).

The family name "Vicic " is used by some 200 people in the United States , about 50 in Canada , and small number of people in France.
