In Croatia, Validžija families are generally Croats (from Petrinja ), very rarely Hungarians (from Zagreb ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Petrinja and Sisak. In Župić in Petrinja every seventh inhabitant had the family name Validžija.
Prevalence
About 30 people with faimily name Validžija live in Croatia today, in 14 households. There were 30 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number remains constant. They are only located in threee Croatian cities and threee other places, mostly in Zupic (10), Zagreb (<10), Rajevo Selo in Zupanja area (<10), Velika Gorica (<5), and in Bulinac in Bjelovar area (<5).
Outside Croatia
Family name Validžija is present in three countries on two continents.
