About 140 people with faimily name Ugrinić live in Croatia today, in 60 households. There were 150 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 10 percent. They are located in 9 Croatian counties, in 6 cities and 7 other places, mostly in Tkon on the Island of Pasman (85), Biograd na moru (35), Zagreb (<10), Zadar (<10), and in Markovac in Knin area (<5).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over twenty times, the first time 1691 in source Catholic Church Parish Records.
